Joe Biden Supports the USMNT in 2022 World Cup

In the latest sign of football's growing influence in the United States, two iconic institutions of the country, displayed messages of support for the USMNT, who qualified for the knock-out stages, of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with victory over Iran, Tuesday (29/11/2022).
Before the game, the white house unveiled a sign on its front lawn with a message from United States President Joe Biden, and first lady Jill Biden, wishing the team well before their crunch tie with iran in Group B.
After Christian Pulisic's first-half strike earned the USMNT a 1-0 win over Iran, to set-up a last-16 tie with the Netherlands, the empire state building was lit up with the red, white and blue colours of the team, to celebrate the country's first victory at the 2022 World Cup.
